Project Summary

“Rising Above: Women and Youth Leading Climate Resilience” is a dynamic community-based climate action initiative designed to empower women and youth as front-line leaders in climate adaptation and resilience. This innovative project combines climate education, green entrepreneurship, and local action to address the growing threats of climate change—especially in vulnerable communities—by equipping the most affected and most capable agents of change: women and young people.

Goals and Objectives

Goal:

To enhance climate resilience in at-risk communities by empowering women and youth as climate leaders, innovators, and educators.

Objectives:

  • Train 500 women and youth in climate change adaptation, green technology, and sustainable practices.
  • Launch 20 community-led micro-projects that promote local climate resilience (e.g., urban gardens, water harvesting, eco-businesses).
  • Establish 5 Climate Resilience Hubs for ongoing learning and innovation.
  • Influence local policy through youth and women-led advocacy campaigns on climate justice.
