Project Overview:

This project will explore the island’s multicultural identity through documentary film, interactive exhibitions, oral histories, traditional performances, and culinary showcases, capturing the essence of Zanzibar's intangible heritage and bringing it to local, regional, and international audiences.

Project Objectives:

  • Locations: Stone Town, Pemba, rural spice farms, and coastal villages.

2.Oral History Archive:

  • Interviews in Swahili and English with subtitles.

3.Culinary Heritage Series:

  • Filmed cooking sessions with local chefs using traditional recipes.
